Damage Defense Control Panel
and Metal Detector

The damage defense control panel and metal detector are used in tub grinder units. Tub grinders are used worldwide to grind up large timber in the forestry and municipality markets. Metal detecting sensors are used to identify fragments of metal that could be in the material being processed. If metal is detected, the control panel performs an emergency shut down.

Pivot International’s subsidiary, EDM, provides the PCB design and assembly, metal faceplate, and final testing of the industrial units. EDM also provided the design and manufacturing of the metal detecting sensor within each unit.
